Troops Eliminate 3 Boko Haram Terrorists During Patrol In Borno

Three Boko Haram terrorists have been eliminated by troops of Sector 1, Operation Hadin Kai in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and a hybrid force in Borno State.
The terrorists were silenced on 27th September 2024 during a fighting patrol along the Ashigashiya road in Gwoza Local Government Area of the state.
During the operation, contact was made between the troops and the insurgents leading to the killing of the terrorists, while others took to their heels.
One Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) member, however, lost his life in the operation while one hybrid force member sustained injuries following an ambush set by the fleeing insurgents.
The deceased and the injured have been buried and taken to a medical facility respectively.
