Police probe viral video released by VDM featuring their uniform

Published

on

The Nigeria Police Force strongly condemns the unauthorized use of official uniforms and accoutrements by an online personality, Mr. Martins Otse, popularly known as “VDM,” in a video posted on his social media platforms.

The Force unequivocally disassociates itself from this unauthorized portrayal and has launched a full investigation to determine the source of the Police gear used, as well as the authority under which he acted.

It is important to remind the public that the unauthorized use of Police uniforms, insignia, or accoutrements constitutes a criminal offense, as stipulated in Section 251 of the Criminal Code Law and Section 133 of the Penal Code Law, and is subject to strict penalties.

While the Nigeria Police Force recognizes and supports the creativity of young Nigerians in the content creation space, we strongly caution against the misuse of Police uniforms or symbols. Unauthorized use of these items undermines the values and integrity of the Force and will not be tolerated.

Sex demands led to my 14-year absence from Nollywood – Actress Jumoke George

Published

on

Ace Nollywood actress, Jumoke George has revealed the cause of her 14-year absence from the film industry.

Jumoke George spoke during an interview on Oyinmomo TV.

Speaking about the challenges faced in her career, the actress stated that her dark complexion and refusal to exchange sex for roles led to her prolonged absence.

“My dark complexion was not the only setback I faced in my career. Another reason why I did not get movie roles for like 14 years is my refusal to sleep around. When directors complained that I was too dark and I would tell them to add my lightning to the scene to make me look lighter.

“You can’t push me to do something I do not want to do. I will glow with this skin till old age and do not forget, black does not crack. I started issues when about 20 to 30 executives wanted sex in exchange for roles.

“And i said, as long as God exists, I would not find myself in such space. I didn’t get any movie roles for three years, and I did not understand what was happening until the day I saw one of our directors at Feminine Cafe at LTV 8, and asked him why he no longer called me for work.

“He then told me that their group of directors have decided not to give me roles and I was like why? He said it was because you refused to sleep with them. I just started crying and when I got home, I prayed to God to take control.”

Bobrisky Complained of Chest Pain, hospitalised

Published

on

Controversial Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, was transported to the Police Hospital in Falomo, Lagos, on Wednesday after reporting discomfort in his chest area, commonly referred to as ‘breasts.’ This incident followed his detention at the Alagbon Police Station in Lagos State.

According to a police insider, Bobrisky was taken to the hospital around 2 p.m. due to his complaints of pain. “Bobrisky claimed his ‘breasts’ were hurting him, which led us to take him to the hospital,” the source explained.

Reports suggest that the ambulance transfer may have been conducted as a precautionary measure, coinciding with a visit from the Commissioner of Police overseeing the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) in Lagos. The source noted that the ambulance was requested with the intention of minimizing public attention, as the CP was planning to transfer Bobrisky to the SFU command.

The source revealed, “They sent for a police ambulance with the number plate LLD339LP to discreetly move him.”

Prior to his hospital transfer, Bobrisky was kept in isolation from other detainees, under the watchful eye of two armed officers. “He was kept separate from the others and guarded by two armed guards until he was taken to the hospital,” the police insider stated.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Bobrisky was escorted by a nurse and a well-armed officer. “A female nurse and a police officer accompanied Bobrisky, who was placed on a stretcher,” the source added.

Earlier in the week, Bobrisky was apprehended by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and subsequently detained at the Nigeria Police Force’s Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Alagbon. The circumstances surrounding his arrest and hospitalization continue to draw public attention, given his popularity and controversial persona.
