Isaac Fayose Advises Asake, Offers Father N500K, Says He Should Forget What His Mum Said

Isaac Fayose has shared his thoughts on the ongoing controversy involving Afrobeats singer Asake and his ailing father.
In a show of generosity, he also pledged a cash donation of N500,000 to support the elderly man, who is reportedly battling a stroke.
The situation gained public attention after a viral video surfaced in which Asake’s father accused his son of neglect. In response, the Lonely at the Top crooner defended himself, stating that despite his efforts to support his father, it was never enough.
Reacting to the drama, Fayose urged Asake to approach the issue with compassion while advising men to plan for old age rather than depending entirely on their children. He pointed out that, in many cases, fathers end up alone, especially if the mother’s influence turns the children against them.
“Once you become a father, it’s important to work hard and secure your future so you don’t become dependent in old age. Many children are closer to their mothers, leaving fathers isolated. If you’re lucky to have a mother who champions you in front of your kids, then you’re fortunate,” Fayose remarked.
Addressing Asake directly, he advised: “Forget whatever your mother said and take care of your father. You only have one father, and no matter the circumstances, he deserves your support. Temper justice with mercy.”
In addition to his advice, Fayose extended financial assistance to Asake’s father, requesting his account details to transfer N500,000. Sharing the video online, he wrote:
@asakemusic father’s account number so I can send him 500K. The man is not looking too good. Man no be God.”
The development has sparked widespread debate, with many urging Asake to reconcile with his father and provide the necessary care he needs. Meanwhile, Fayose’s intervention has been praised as an act of kindness, highlighting the importance of family responsibility regardless of past grievances.

Just in: Court Orders immediate arrest of VDM

An Abuja Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Wuse Zone 6, on Thursday, issued a bench warrant for the arrest of controversial social media activist, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, VDM.
The arrest order followed a criminal defamation case that was brought before the court by a renowned female gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo.
In his ruling, Magistrate Emmanuel Iyana ordered the Nigeria Police Force and other law enforcement agencies to arrest VDM and produce him before the court to answer to criminal allegations that were levelled against him by the gospel singer.
The court noted that the defendant failed to honour a summon it issued on March 5, which directed him to appear for the proceeding.
Despite a passionate plea by counsel to the defendant, Mr. Deji Adeyanju, who was presebt in court, Magistrate Iyana declined to vacate the arrest order.
Adeyanju had begged the court to allow him to personally produce his client on the next adjourned date.
Specifically, VDM was alleged to have made defamatory statements against the singer through his social media page.
It allegedly claimed that Chinwo was involved in a contractual dispute over her purported diversion of the sum of $345,000 linked to her former record label boss, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, also known as Eezee Tee.
Aggrieved by the allegation which she described as not only false but also injurious to her public image and reputation, the gospel singer, adduced before the court, documentary evidence that included emails and payment receipts, in a bid to establish her innocence.
The complainant’s team of lawyers led by Mr. Pelumi Olajengbesi, insisted that the defendant’s action was contrary to Sections 391 of the Penal Code and Section 24 (1)(B) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention etc) Act 2015.
It will also be recalled that Chinwo’s counsel had also instituted a N1.1billion suit against VDM before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The lawyer prayed the court to compel the defendant to delete, retract, and issue a public apology for all the alleged false and defamatory statements he made against Chinwo and her brand.

“I personally don’t believe in one wife, it’s not our culture, it’s not who we are. These are imported things that are destroying Africa.
Men are polygamous in nature, so when they have one wife, they’ll make up for it by cheatîng.
Whereas if we were polygamous, we won’t cheat. Our forefathers weren’t stupid for introducing polygamy.
