Kanye West’s Controversial Album Vultures 1 Removed From Apple Music

Vultures 1, the latest album by controversial rapper, Kanye West has been pulled down just five days after its debut, after being hit by copyright infringement issues.
On Thursday afternoon, the album was removed from Apple Music and iTunes, where the song Carnival held the No. 1 slot on the Top 100: Global chart.
The move comes amid reports the Vultures 1 distributor is working to remove it from all streaming services after Kanye reportedly uploaded it to various platforms without permission, according to Billboard.
The album was first hit with streaming issues on Wednesday when Spotify removed the track Good (Don’t Die) due to claims of ‘copyright infringement’ made by Donna Summer’s estate.
The distributor, FUGA, said in a statement today: ‘On Friday, February 9, 2024, a long-standing FUGA client delivered the album Vultures 1 through the platform’s automated processes, violating our service agreement.’
‘Therefore, FUGA is actively working with its DSP partners and the client to remove Vultures 1 from our systems.”
As of now, the album continues to be accessible on Spotify; however, the track Good (Don’t Die) is currently unplayable on the platform.
This comes after the Rolling Loud music festival announced Kanye and his Vultures 1 collaborator Ty Dolla Sign as the headliners for their March 14 concert in Inglewood, CA.
It also follows Donna Summer’s estate accusing Kanye of using a sample of her song without consent on Good (Don’t Die).
The rapper reportedly incorporated a version of the late singer’s 1977 hit I Feel Love into the track.
The official Instagram page of the late singer claimed Kanye’s prior request to use the song had been rejected.
‘Kanye West…asked permission to use Donna Summer’s song I Feel Love,’ read the account’s post on Instagram Stories. ‘He was denied…he changed the words, had someone re-sign [sic] it or used AI but it’s I Feel Love…copyright infringement!!!’

How I Was Advised to Renounce Jesus to Succeed in Nollywood – Ekene Umenwa

Nigerian actress Ekene Umenwa has revealed that some cabal in Nollywood once advised her to trade her Christian faith for success.
Umenwa made the disclosure in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
While recounting the pressure she faced from the unnamed individuals, Umenwa maintained that she refused to compromise her faith and return to Jesus, whom she referred to as her Father, for comfort.
Sharing a video of her vibing to the popular gospel song, ‘No Turning Back’, she said “When I came to Nollywood many years ago with my Jesus, I was told by some folks to drop Jesus & Mary to move with the flow so that I can make it. They said, Ekene this game no be Jesus oo.
“I was like chimo, is that so? Never. I ran to my father, and Jesus told me to move ahead. I thank God today that many people have joined me to proclaim Jesus in Nollywood.”

Finally, UK court grants Chris Brown bail in assault charge

American R&B singer Chris Brown has been granted bail after being arrested in connection with an assault case.
The court ruled that he must pay £5 million to secure his release.
As part of the conditions for his bail, Brown, who is 36, is allowed to continue with his upcoming international tour, which starts on June 8 in Amsterdam.
This tour is significant for Brown, especially since he hasn’t performed much in public recently.
However, there are strict rules in place: if he fails to return to the UK for concerts starting June 15, he risks losing the entire £5 million he put up for bail.
Brown was arrested on May 15, 2025, at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, surprising fans just days before his UK performance.
The arrest relates to an incident from February 19, 2023, when he allegedly attacked music producer Abe Diaw in a London nightclub.
Authorities say he struck Diaw with a bottle during an argument, leading to serious charges.
Brown is expected to appear in court in Manchester on May 16, and concern is growing over how this will affect his European tour, especially given his controversial history.
Brown’s legal troubles date back to 2009, when he famously assaulted his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, which brought a lot of media attention and changed the perception of his career.
He pleaded guilty but avoided jail time, serving probation and doing community service instead.
Since then, he’s faced various legal issues, including a 2013 incident where he punched a man outside a hotel in Washington, D.C.
Although he managed to reduce the charges, public frustration continued to grow. In 2016, Brown was involved in a police standoff because of an allegation of threatening someone with a gun, although he wasn’t charged.
Brown has also faced serious claims of sexual misconduct over the years, although most have not led to convictions.
In 2018, he was arrested in Florida linked to a previous nightclub incident, and in 2019, he was detained in Paris regarding a rape allegation but was later released without charges.
He even sued an accuser for defamation after she claimed he had raped her.
As Brown prepares for his European tour, the uncertainty surrounding his legal situation looms large.
While fans are eager for him to return to the stage, it’s unclear whether the concerts will go ahead with his court dates taking priority right now.
