Bandits Abduct 16 In Taraba

Sixteen people including a reverend father were abducted when gun men suspected to be kidnappers attacked three villages in Zing Local Government Area of Taraba State, Friday night.
Daily Trust On Sunday gathered that the gunmen in their numbers attacked Dekko, Lama and Monkin villages midnight Friday and abducted 16 people.
It was learnt that many of the villagers sustained gunshot wounds while trying to escape into the mountains during the attacks.
The gunmen who rode on motorcycles were said to be numbering over 100.
A source from the area said the gunmen were part of the bandits dislodged by the Army and hunters recently at mountainous areas in Yorro Local Government Area of the state.
Spokesman of Taraba State Police Command, SP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the attack but said he was waiting for details and actual number of people abducted from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Zing LGA.

Lagos Police to Arraign Wasiu Akinwande, Alleged Notor!ous Hired K!ller in Court

The Lagos State Police Command has announced the upcoming arraignment of Wasiu Akinwande, known as Olori Eso, at the Ebute-Meta Magistrate Court on July 9, 2025.
Akinwande, 44, is accused of being a notorious hired killer and one of Lagos’ most wanted individuals. His arrest marks a significant breakthrough in combating violent crime and other criminal activities in the state.
Following a successful operation, Akinwande was apprehended in his Agbado, Ogun State hideout. He allegedly orchestrated various crimes, including armed robberies, murders, kidnappings, and cult-related killings, spreading fear and disrupting law and order.
