May, Yul Edochie’s divorce case hits rock as Yul and Judy’s lawyer refuses to show up
By Francesca Hangeior
The divorce lawsuit between actor Yul Edochie and his estranged wife, May, has been put off due to the absence of Yul and Judy’s lawyer.
May’s legal counsel, Emeka Ugwuonye, provided an update on social media.
He wrote; “Trial could not go ahead today as scheduled because two days ago, Yul Edochie’s and Judy Austin’s lawyer wrote a letter to the court stating that he was unwell and stating that he would not be present in court today as a result thereof.
“He proposed a number of dates in the future as an alternative and requested the court to indulge him. Usually, the court would give a lawyer the benefit of doubts in such a situation. May’s lawyers would not like to question the integrity of the opponent directly, even though the excuse was a tendentious occurrence.
“Today in court, Mr. Yul Edochie was present, but without his counsel, the court could nor hear any substantive matter. A new date has been set in June. We are all concerned about delays and protraction of this case. But we remain confident that justice will be done in due course by this court. As you know, several issues are involved: from the activities of the parties in the social media, to the welfare of the children, to the issues of marital properties, safety of May, and the final status of the marriage itself.
“As we have done in the past, we urge all well-wishers and supporters to be patient. The legal process is very intricate and the best approach has to be meticulous and painstaking. Despite our concerns about delays, we are confident that May is fine and will remain so.
“There should be no cause for worries at this point. We also urge you to resist the temptation to believe things you read in the blogs. Most of the blogs have no idea what is going on, but will go to every extent to suggest otherwise. Thank you.”

May Edochie’s fans respond to actress Uche Ogbodo after she criticized them
By Francesca Hangeior
Nigerian actress Uche Ogbodo has sparked a reaction from the fans of socialite May Edochie, known as May Nation.
This began when Uche’s store in Lagos was robbed, and she claimed that May’s fans were mocking her situation.
She labeled them as toxic and pointed out that Yul Edochie’s ex-wife did not intervene to stop the negativity, leading her to block May.
Following Uche’s outburst online, May Edochie’s fans released a public statement from one of their official pages.
The group criticized the Nollywood actress for labeling them as lunatics and toxic. They believe she should have addressed the specific people who made negative comments on her page instead of assuming that all May Nation members are the same.
They questioned whether Davido and Wizkid are also pressured to respond to negative comments from their fans. They pointed out that May Edochie cannot control what her fans say, and it would be unreasonable to expect her to respond every time someone says something negative.

Angry Rudeboy Alleges Twin Brother Mr. P Of Song Theft, Vows To Release Original Version
Angry Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy has accused his twin brother Peter Okoye (Mr. P) of stealing his intellectual property.
Rudeboy alleged in an Instagram post on Thursday that Mr P’s recently released single, ‘Winning,’ was supposed to be included in his next album.
Mr P recently released the single ‘Winning’ a few months after the brothers confirmed that Psquare, their shared music group, no longer existed.
Rudeboy also alleged that the music producer hijacked the track.
“Written and sang by Rudeboy. Produced by same producer. Now how come? Now am I supposed to release another version? Mr Producer, your case is for another day.
“Just a simple thing, bring 6 songs, let me bring 6 songs. I submitted 6 songs to the so-called management. Why are you singing my own song? Word for word. Song that was supposed to be in my album next year June.”
Rudeboy also threatened to release “original versions of any copied songs”, adding that “the days of manipulation are over”.
“The days of manipulation are over. And to the management, make I hear any song wey na only me sing, I go release the original version. Oloriburuku! Music is not that hard,” he wrote.
Recall that Psquare split in 2017 following a feud between Rudeboy and Mr. P.
The brothers reunited in November 2021, but their reconciliation was short-lived as Paul recently revealed another fallout, accusing Peter of orchestrating his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
