In a preview of the upcoming episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, the musician revealed that he and his group stumbled upon a firearm at a garbage dump in Ikorodu and began using it to instill fear in the local community.

Their luck took a turn for the worse one day when they were caught and nearly lynched, but fortunately, they managed to escape miraculously.

Daddy Showkey emphasized that despite his troubled upbringing and past experiences, he was able to achieve legendary status. He believes that anyone can accomplish greatness if they are determined and work hard for it.

He recounted, “I used to be part of a gang. I won’t deny it. Some of us came across a gun while scavenging through a garbage dump in Ikorodu. We started using the gun to intimidate people in the area.

One day, during our usual activities, someone spotted us and raised an alarm, calling out ‘thieves, thieves, thieves.’ We tried to flee, but we were apprehended. They tied us up and were on the verge of lynching us, but we were miraculously saved.

“I am a living testament that regardless of one’s background, there is always hope for success. If I can survive and thrive as Daddy Showkey, then there’s hope for everyone.”

Famous singer, Beyoncé, has become the most certified female artist of all time by the Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA.

She earned the most RIAA-certified titles of all time by a female artist after a couple of her songs recently received certifications, bringing her total to 103.

“Crowning achievement! Congratulations to @Beyonce, who now holds the record for the most certified titles for a female artist in RIAA history, including her first two Diamond singles! @parkwood @columbiarecords,” RIAA announced in an X post on Tuesday.

Among her recognitions are Diamond status for ‘Halo’ and ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It.’

Some of her other certifications include 2x Platinum status for “Renaissance,” 4x Platinum for “Lemonade,” and 7x Platinum for “Sasha Fierce” and “Dangerously In Love.”
