Kaduna: Troops silence 3 terrorists in Kajuru LGA, recover arms, others

Troops have again reportedly conducted clearance patrols and silenced three bandits along Gonna Rogo-Eka axis of Kajuru LGA of Kaduna state.
According to operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government, the troops conducted special clearance patrols in the above named area and made contact with bandits.
After an exchange of fire, three of the criminals were summarily neutralized”, according to release by the Overseeing Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, Mr. Samuel Aruwan.
The troops, the release added, scoured the immediate vicinity and recovered two AK-47 rifles, four AK-47 magazines and 81 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition
Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, thanked the security forces for the feedback and commended the troops – under the leadership of the General Officer Commanding, 1Division Nigerian Army, Major General MLD Saraso – for intensifying efforts to ensure a peaceful Eid celebration for citizens.
The statement stressed that, the troops will continue special fighting patrols within the general area and other locations of interest.

#OndoDecides2024: APC congratulates Aiyedatiwa, applauds Ondo electorate

The All Progressives Congress has congratulated the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on his re-election in the just-concluded governorship election.
Aiyedatiwa won the election, having polled a total of 366,781 votes across all 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
He defeated his closest rival — Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party, who got 117,845 votes.
In a statement issued by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Sunday, and made available to PUNCH Online, the party described Aiyedatiwa as a “clear attestation” that his administration’s policies “resonated deeply with the electorate.”
The statement read, “The All Progressives Congress (APC) heartily congratulates the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on his re-election.
“Your Excellency’s resounding victory in the just-concluded Ondo State gubernatorial election is a clear attestation that your administration’s policies and programmes and campaign message of hope and consolidation have resonated deeply with the electorate.
