VP Shettima, Ex-President Jonathan, PDP Governors Attend Taraba Governor’s Daughter’s Wedding (Photos)
The Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, celebrated the marriage of his daughter, Keziah, to her groom, Bitrus Josiah, in Jalingo on Saturday.
Kefas announced this in a Facebook post on Saturday, expressing gratitude for the presence of dignitaries who attended the event.
He wrote, “It is with great joy, as a father, that I witnessed the marriage ceremony between my daughter, Keziah, and her groom, Bitrus.
“We are happy as a family to host friends, political associates, and distinguished personalities from within and outside Taraba State.”
The governor noted that the ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, former President Goodluck Jonathan, and governors from the Peoples Democratic Party.
“Former President H.E. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Nigeria’s Vice President, H.E. Kashim Shettima, and the PDP Governors’ Forum were among those who joined us in celebrating this union. My sincere appreciation to everyone who honoured our invitation,” he added.
Other dignitaries reported to be present include Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal; Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri; Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori; Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke; Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri; and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, among others.
Akelicious reports that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also gave away his daughter, Laila Atiku, in marriage to Saleh Maitala at a ceremony held at the National Mosque in Abuja on Friday.

Last Saturday, Ifeatu Adaora, daughter of Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, similarly exchanged vows with her partner, Arinze Ibekwe, in a beautiful white wedding ceremony.

Tinubu promotes acting COAS Oluyede to Lieutenant General

President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday decorated the acting Chief of Army Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, as Lieutenant General.
It was gathered that the short ceremony took place in the President’s office complex at the State House, Abuja.
“President Tinubu decorates acting Chief of Army Staff, Oluyede, as Lt. General,” a snippet from the president’s communications team read Tuesday.
Tinubu had appointed Oluyede as the acting Chief of Army Staff last Wednesday, even as his predecessor, Taoreed Lagbaja, remains indisposed for weeks.
