BREAKING: Moghalu Leaves APC, Submits Letter of Resignation
Founding member and first National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. George Moghalu, has officially resigned his membership from the party.
Moghalu’s resignation marks the end of a significant chapter in his political career, one that has been closely tied to the APC since its inception.
Moghalu made his decision public on Tuesday, in a letter addressed to the chairman of Uruagu Ward 1 in the Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The letter, dated August 26, 2024, and copied to both the Local Government Area and State Chairmen of the APC, outlined his reasons for leaving the party, which he attributed to personal considerations.
In his resignation letter, Moghalu expressed his desire to maintain the strong relationships he had built with his former party colleagues, emphasizing that his decision was personal.
“It is my utmost desire and expectation that all of us will continue to maintain the cordial relationship that we have built together over the years,” the letter reads.
Moghalu’s departure from the APC comes after a distinguished tenure as the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), where he played a crucial role in advancing the agency’s mandate.
Throughout his time in the APC, Moghalu was a key figure, contributing significantly to the party’s development and strategies.
As he steps away from active participation in the APC, Moghalu leaves behind a legacy of commitment and service to the party. In his parting words, he extended his best wishes to the remaining members of the APC, expressing hope for their continued success.
