Health intervention: Senator Manu organises three-day free medical outreach for over 2,000 constituents+Photos

Senator Manu Haruna of Taraba Central Senatorial District has organises a three -day free medical outreach program for his constituents in Taraba Central Senatorial District which came to an end today (Saturday).
It was testimonials galore as his constituents showered encomiums on Senator Manu who has taken interventions of different dimensions since he assumed office in June, 2023.
The outreach was concluded at Bali General Hospital in Bali Local Government Area.
The initiative, which focused on ophthalmological care, provided free medical services to over 2,000 patients, including eye surgeries and the distribution of reading glasses.
The program was led by Rt. Hon. Simon Dogari, Director General of Senator Manu’s campaign, who handed over essential medical supplies to the management of Bali General Hospital on the senator’s behalf.
The supplies included wheelchairs, walking sticks, blood pressure and blood sugar test kits, 200 cartons of Vitamin C, 200 cartons of anti-malaria medication, and 300 cartons of typhoid doses.
Hon. Aboki Dauda, Chairman of Bali LGA, expressed gratitude for Senator Haruna’s initiative, highlighting how it reflects his commitment to addressing critical healthcare needs and improving the quality of life in Taraba Central.
This medical outreach is part of the senator’s broader efforts to enhance healthcare access in the region, particularly focusing on eye health, an area often neglected in rural communities.
Among the beneficiaries were Mal. Auwal, who had been blind for the past 10 years and regained his sight after the treatment. He expressed profound gratitude to Senator Haruna for the life-changing intervention.
Another patient, Hauwa Hamman Joda, who had been blind for five years, also expressed her heartfelt thanks after her sight was restored through the program.
This healthcare initiative has left a lasting impact on the community, demonstrating Senator Manu Haruna’s dedication to improving healthcare services and uplifting the lives of his constituents.
