Only God can erase me, Naira Marley boasts
Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley said only God can “cancel” him.
He stated this in an X post on Monday.

Cancel culture in social media lingo refers to the boycotting, shaming, or ostracism of individuals or groups due to behaviour, opinions, or statements deemed offensive or problematic.
Although it is intended to hold people accountable, its effectiveness, fairness, and implications for free speech have been subject of intense debate.
Naira Marley, who owns Marlian Music, has faced severe criticism from Nigerians since the death of his former label signee, Mohbad under controversial circumstances in September 2023.
Following Mohbad’s death, videos of his alleged harassment by Naira Marley and his associates emerged or recirculated on social media, sparking public outrage.

Naira Marley has continued to maintain his innocence.
Over a year after the incident, many Nigerians have continued to criticise the singer, especially on social media.
