Canadian singer, Celine Dion, has made a shocking revelation about her health, sharing that she has been living with Stiff Person Syndrome for 17 years.
In an interview with Hoda Kotb on the Today Show, the Canadian singer opened up about her secret struggle with the rare neurological disorder.
Dion revealed that she began experiencing symptoms in 2008 but didn’t disclose her diagnosis until 2022.
She revealed that she was secretly battling the illness while managing her late husband, Rene Angelil’s cancer battle and raising their children.
She shared that she was driven to speak out about her illness because keeping it hidden from her fans and loved ones had become a heavy burden.
Celine Dion remains determined to continue performing, vowing to return to the stage, even if she has to “crawl” or use her hands to communicate.
She said: “We did not know what was going on [with me]. I did not take the time… I should have stopped, took the time to figure it out.
“And like it wasn’t enough, my husband as well is fighting for his own life. I had to raise my kids, I had to hide, I had to try to be a hero – while feeling my body leaving me,’ she continued. ‘[I was] holding on to my own dreams.”
Dion’s journey with Stiff Person Syndrome is documented in her upcoming documentary, “I Am: Celine Dion,” set to release on June 25.
Phyna has just knocked out Nkechi Blessing in Round 4 at the Chaos in the Ring celebrity boxing match in Lagos.
Phyna, whose real name is Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, stopped Nkechi Blessing in their scheduled four-round celebrity contest at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island. After the fight, the former Big Brother Naija winner named Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia, as her next target, claiming that she had been disturbing her through her direct messages (DMs).
Etinosa accepted the challenge, setting up the possibility of another celebrity boxing contest. Phyna also announced that she intends to pursue professional boxing, indicating that her appearance against Nkechi could be the beginning of a longer career in the sport.

Carter Efe defeated Speed Darlington by unanimous decision in celebrity boxing bout at Balmoral Promotions’ Chaos in the Ring event in Lagos on October 1, 2026.
Carter Efe dominated Speed Darlington across their four-round crossover bout and secured a unanimous decision after four one-sided rounds. The victory extended Efe’s unbeaten run in the Chaos in the Ring celebrity boxing series.
Efe had previously defeated singer Portable in another celebrity boxing contest on May 1, 2026, at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island. He won that three-round contest by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the fight 30-27 in his favour.
The rivalry between Efe and Speed Darlington had intensified before their October meeting, with the two entertainers exchanging confrontational remarks during the build-up. Their face-off generated significant attention before they settled the rivalry inside the ring.

Another Nollywood actor, Chijioke Nwokafor, popularly known as CJay Nwoks is dead.
He died on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at an undisclosed hospital in the Badore area of Lagos State.
The sad news was announced by actress Nkechi Blessing, who recently cast CJay as the lead actor in her new film.
Speaking on why the film will no longer be released, Nkechi, who was seen crying in a video on her Instagram page, said, “it took me a lot to do this video because we won’t be dropping the movie again by 5pm.
Right now, I’m in the hospital in Badore. I just lost CJay. CJay is dead. I don’t even know where to start.”
The cause of his death is still very sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
