Speaking during a recent Instagram Live session, Seun expressed doubt over the wealth of some of his colleagues, downplaying the possibility of their enormous wealth being from musical earnings.

According to him; he is only building his first house despite touring for 20 years, yet artistes with less than two hit songs are wealthier than him.

Kuti said: “I have been touring for over 20 years, and I’m only just building my first house. Where is the music money coming from?

“Musician never get two songs, he don buy Lamborghini and G-wagon. Where’s this music money coming from?”

Many Nigerian artistes have come out to boast about the lucrativeness of the music industry.

Shallipopi had previously stated in an interview that there’s so much money in the music industry, stressing that his financial breakthrough came after dropping a few hits.

Also, the “Zazuu” crooner had once claimed that there’s more money in the music industry than rituals, fraud and football.
