In a statement issued by the Commission’s management, it was announced that the list of affected companies has been published on the CAC’s official website. Companies and the general public are advised to review the list to determine those impacted.

According to the Commission, affected companies have 90 days from the date of publication to update their annual returns and beneficial ownership information in accordance with the Act, or risk being permanently delisted.

The statement warned that it is unlawful for any company struck off the register to continue doing business, having forfeited its legal identity. This action is in line with Section 692 (3) and (4) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2020.

The Commission recalled that on November 20, 2024, it issued a Notice of Intention to strike off the names of companies that had failed to file annual returns for 10 consecutive years, giving them a 90-day statutory window to comply by submitting their returns and contacting the Commission via [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).

Companies that responded to the advisory have been spared, while those that failed to comply have now been struck off in accordance with the law.
