Ex-Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mohammed Lawal Uwais is dead.

The famous jurist passed on at the age of 89.
Uwais, who served for 11 years from 1995 to 2006 as CJN died in Abuja on Friday.
Arrangements are in top gear for his funeral prayer and burial.
The top jurist chaired the electoral reform commission established by the late president Umar Yaradua that submitted recommended critical reforms in Nigeria’s electoral system in 2008.
