Breaking: FG To Arraign Activists Michael Lenin, Sodiq over #EndBadGovernance Protests

Nigerian Government to Arraign Activists Michael Lenin, Sodiq on Monday on Alleged Chargers.

Nigerian activists Michael Adaramoye, also known as Michael Lenin, and Sodiq are set to be arraigned on Monday, August 7, on alleged trumped-up charges related to their involvement in the recent #EndBadGovernance protests. The Take-It-Back movement has called for public support, urging Nigerians to attend the court session at 9 a.m.

Lenin and Sodiq were arrested early on August 5 during a raid at the residence of activist Babatunde Oluajo (OSB Sankara) by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Their detention has been condemned by Amnesty International, which has demanded their immediate release, denouncing their arrest as a violation of human rights.

Amnesty International criticized the continued arbitrary detention of the activists and called for their immediate release, highlighting that they have been held incommunicado at the IGP’s Intelligence Response Team (IRT) office in Abuja.

Revolutionary activist Francis Nwapa condemned the Nigerian security agencies for detaining activists while bandits openly display ransoms and victims on social media. Lenin was a leading figure in the #EndBadGovernance protests in Abuja.
